In January, Jared got his Covid-19 vaccine! Jared took Lyla and Kyler skiing. Lyla had a cheer competition in Ogden, and I got pedicures with friends for a fun GNO. Jared, Zo and I went on a few dates while the big kids played at lifetime parents night out. Zoey had her first dance recital and was very unsure about being in a stage but she was so adorable. We were allowed to attend church in person once every few weeks and when we had zoom church the kids loved seeing daddy on the tv and waving to him.
February was a big month for our family. Jared accepted a job offer with Highmark Health in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania! For now he will be able to work from home here in Utah (with occasional work trips) but our family will relocate there in the future. Because of this, we had to give Hurley back to her breeders (we got her through a breeding program and we signed a contract saying we would give her back if we move from Utah because they are going to breed her). We miss that sweet pup! Valentines Saturday date was great at Maddox, and that week was our only big snow this entire season. The kids still had school, and I couldn't get the car down the driveway because there was too much snow, so we had to walk in the snow :p. Jared took me and Kyler skiing (I actually snowboarded which I regretted) and we had visits from cousins which was fun!
March was a difficult month for us, as Jared’s mom passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. We miss her so incredibly much, but find peace in knowing that we will be reunited again with her some day. Around that same time, Jared started his new job with Highmark and did not have a break in-between leaving Intermountain. Near the end of March we went to st George and spent time with my parents and sister Melanie and her fam.
April- I got my COVID-19 vaccine! For spring break we went to Arizona and did lots of fun things and saw Calvin and Courtney’s fam and my cousin Carolyn and her girls. My parents joined us on that trip too! Then we went to St George to spend time with Jared’s family and celebrated Easter in Snow Canyon. Jared went to Pittsburgh for the first time and drove around some future potential neighborhoods. Kyler got asked to speak in stake conference, he was so nervous and got stage fright but finished anyways and we are so proud of him. Jared took Ryan on a date skiing, and we renewed our Lagoon season passes. Near the end of April, Zoey started swim lessons and we finally bought Jareds dream truck!
May- life is starting to turn back to normal, most places no longer require masks! Church is back to two hours and our kids LOVE going back to primary. Jared spoiled me with laser hair removal for mothers day this year. Zoey had her second dance recital and was so confident and sassy on stage!
