November 2022-June 2023
Several birthdays since my last update- Kyler turned 12, Ryan and Lyla turned 8 and Connor and Mason turned 1 (and Jared turned 39 ). Zoey’s birthday is in 10 days and she will turn 6! I have posted most of these pics on Instagram already…so sometimes I wonder why I even bother with blog updates anymore because I’m pretty sure nobody reads this haha but I guess I just do it for myself as more of a journal and also as a backup spot for my fav pics with easy access. All of my old pictures from 10+ years ago are on here and it’s the only place I can see them, so it’s nice to be able to just scroll on here and see them all in one place.
November was rough, as my sweet father in-law passed away. Jared was able to fly out and be with him just a few moments before he passed. Then we all flew out for the funeral and it was just a difficult trip to make with 6 littles, but we tried to sneak in some fun activities for the kids while we were there in Utah as well. We spent thanksgiving here in Sioux Falls with a few friends.
December was another rough month. We had horrible winter storms and the Sioux Falls airport closed and we weren’t able to fly to California like we had planned for our cruise to Mexico. (No refund for the cruise was just the icing on the cake). We flew to Utah so that the big twins could be baptized surrounded by family, and it was a great day! but again, it was difficult traveling with baby twins .
January-March is all honestly kind of blur. Snow, snow and more snow. And depression snuck in there too but we made it through. Jared built the kids an ice skating rink on the lake which was pretty neat!
April- Schrammparents came for Easter and the lake thawed. Spring was a welcome relief!
May- for Mother’s Day, I got an e-bike and have been loving it. We have been evoking and E-scootering all around Sioux Falls as a family and it’s been so nice being outside. The kids finished up the 6th, 2nd and kindergarten school year and Connor and Mason finally started walking!
June- our summer is off to a busy start with ice skating lessons, tennis and cheer. The babies turned 18 months and started nursery and Zoey’s birthday is just around the corner. So grateful for our nanny, Alivia, who comes over a few hours a day to give me an extra set of hands and help transport kids to activities. Zoey’s birthday is coming up next!
